I'd like to permanently remove the Links folder that keeps
poping up under Favorites menu in IE version 6.0.

Basically, I delete it - and every time I come back to
open a new IE the operating system recreates it. How can
I permanently remove this "Links" subfolder in Favorites
menu from Internet Explorer Version 6.0

If you don't want to see it, then just set the attributes of the Links
folder to Hidden.

NO - I'd like to completely remove it from Internet
Exporer's "Favorites" Menu.

Basically, it is created by IE - Favorites | Links.

I simply want to permanently remove it. How would I do
this.

OK. If just not seeing it is not enough and you want to remove this
useful (IMHO) folder, then try here:

http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/550/

When I type in the URL you've identified - I basically get
a redirect to "www.winguides.com" - basically - main page
that tells me nothing.

Can you forward to someone who can provide a solution here.

Thanks,

In which case may I suggest you try again as the page just opens fine and
provides all of the information you require.

Try copy n paste rather than typing the URL.

It worked now - basically, I "copied" hyper link today and
found solution.

Thanks always...

p.s. I didn't receive this page when I did this 7/15/04 -
basically - got main page with no clue as to where to go -
in any event - hyperlink worked fine this morning.

That's good news and I'm glad to read you've now found the solution. When a
page doesn't open it's nearly always worth trying again a few hours later due
to the many vagaries of the web which can cause pages to go inexplicably
missing at times.
