'Run' Command gone from start menu

Start | Settings | Taskbar & Start Menu | Advanced and see whether the box
"Display Run" has been unchecked for some reason.

hi - hope someone can help me - after lots of problems which needed a
reinstall i noticed recently that the 'run' command has disappeared from my
start menu - i don't know if it wasn't there after a reinstall or whether it
dropped off later (i also had a few probs after reinstall with my
registry) - can anyone tell me how to get it back please?
