Notepad deleted

I believe that I have accidentally deleted Notepad.exe
from my system. I run Windows ME. Does anyone know how I
can download and reinstall Notepad? Please email me if
possible.Thank you.

Confirm that you've ONLY deleted notepad.exe. (Hopefully that's all!!)

Do search on your C: drive for 'notepad' (no quotes) and you should find a
number of 'notepad' files including, .exe, .hlp, .chm and .cnt

If ONLY the .exe file is missing, you can extract a fresh (compressed) copy
of notepad.exe which is located in, and can be extracted from, WIN_17.CAB
file on the WinMe CD in the \win9x folder using the msconfig.exe file
extraction utility. Alternatively, the WIN_17.CAB *may* also be found on
your C: drive in the Windows\Options\Install or CABS folder.

The file should (normally) be extracted to the C:\Windows folder
