Auto-Fill

I am not sure of the proper technical name (Auto-Fill) for
this feature, but it is the one where when you start to
type in a word the computer remembers past words with the
letter you type and shows a drop down window with words
that start with the letters you are typing, or when you
return to a site that you previously had key entered
something, if you double click the box the past entries
appear for you to choose. I believe that someone
mistakenly deactivated that feature from my computer. Can
anyone tell me how to reinstate it?

My system is Windows ME.
