Windows Update fails

I just reinstalled my WindowsMe. Now I am doing my
Windows Update, and after my updates download, I get this
message: "Setup was unable to install all of the
componets. Please close all applications and try using
setup again." Ive done this over and over but this
message pops up every time. Can anyone help? Thanks so
much.

Hello Cami,

I just did both too. Whilst in no way regarding myself as
competent I offer that the way I did them was one by one
having choosing them to be download to My Docs where they
appeared in a WU file. It maybe a bit of a rigmarole but
one can develop a rhythm and it goes quite well. I deleted
each one after it installed and waited till they were all
done before I restarted the computer.
