Each time I go into Word, Excell, etc or try to print
whether it be on the Net or using a word or Excell
Document I get the following error Message. ie Excell has
caused an error in HPFWIN11.DLL excell will now close. If
you continue to experience problems, try restarting your
computer.
Can anyone help me with this as it is frustrating me.
Thanks in advanced Tony

Try reinstalling your HP printer drivers. Perhaps first having checked on the
HP site as to whether there is a more recent version available for use on Win
Me than those you are using at present.

Thanks Mike for your reply, but still no luck. The system
still crashes even if I don't print. Just Hi-liting words
to change them to Bold letters will make my PC crash.
Any other help would be apreciated. Regards Tony

Tony,
No second thoughts here since I still consider the problem is with your
printer drivers not the operating system, HPFWIN11.DLL being a file from HP
rather than Microsoft.
Since seemingly this problem hasn't always been happening what changes did you
make to your system just prior to this problem starting? What happens if you
reverse those changes or use system restore to roll back your system to before
this problem started? Provided, of course, that that was not more than a few
days ago.
Failing all else and since your problem is with your printer I am
cross-posting this reply to the microsoft.public.windowsme.printing newsgroup
since Cari of one of the other printing MVPs might have some ideas. It would
also possibly help if you were to post full details of the printer involved,
how it is connected to your PC (USB, parallel, network or whatever) and also
the version of the HP printer drivers you are using.
Regards,
