View Full Version : BackWeb info needed

Hi, I am having problems with my computer and downloaded
SpyHunter. After I ran it, it told me that BackWeb had
been installed on it. I identified the application file
and was wondering if it was safe to delete it and all the
other BackWeb components that were identified, some of
them date back a couple of years when I bought my
computer, some of the files are brand new, (like one
application is from 4/27/04). I have a 13 year old and no
matter what I tell him, he still downloads like crazy. I
have had to restore to factory settings three times in the
last 6 months. Is BackWeb a file that is installed with
Windows or is it safe to delete it?

The Pest Patrol site give instructions for manual removal. Too bad it
doesn't have something for removing 13 year olds, <g>. Adaware6 should
remove it for you (Backweb, not the 13 yr old), free, from www.lavasoft.de .
Download, update and run.
Heirloom, old and I have grandkids older than that
