freezing pc

i cant get my pc to do anything when it freezes, i cant
even get the task manager to work, pls help me

Let's check something first..........right click a vacant area of your
desktop and from the menu choose Properties, then the Settings tab, then the
Advanced button, and lastly, the Performance tab. Move the Hardware
acceleration slider to one notch above "None", click Apply and OK out.
Reboot your machine and see if the problem still exists. Post back with the
results and we'll go from there.
