blue screen error vmm(12)

When I select start and place the cursor over "programs",
I get a blue screen with error vmm(12)+00004c3c
error:oe:0028:c0284c3c. All other selections (documents,
search etc) work fine. I can also run selected programs
from desktop. Any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks
