Alright, almost everytime I use the computer, one or
another application errors in GDI.EXE. This is the only
thing any program or application errors in; GDI.EXE. What
is GDI.exe and how do I fix this problem?

Hi,

GDI is the abbreviation for Graphical Device Interface. GDI.EXE is the file
which is responsible for representing graphical objects and presenting it
on the monitor or other output devices such as the printer.

If you use memory heavy, graphics-rich applications, there are chances that
GDI.EXE could get corrupt.

Other reasons for the error could include corrupt video drivers in which
case you may need to install the latest updated drivers.

However, please go through the following article before taking any action:

So then, if I say...bought a new graphics card, would that
solve the problem? I did update my video driver recently,
and since then have had more frequent GDI.EXE
errors...should I reupdate?

Hi,

Not sure whether you had a chance to view the KB article...

However, replacing the Video Card may not help the cause unless we know for
sure that it is the culprit.

I would suggest performing a repair/reinstall of the OS if you feel
everything else if fine....
