<lol>
cri'key int. (sl.) expressing astonishment.

I've known and used it all my life but this is the first time I've
actually looked in the dictionary for it's proper definition <g>

The definition that I found is "using a mild oath," which I interpreted as
kind of like swearing softly. <g> So now, lexicology comes to the WindowsMe
NG.

Add to my other post that I always thought of it as being surprised and
definitely not swearing <g>

When I think of it, an image of Tommy Trinder pops into my head.

Crikey! I had to do a Google search just to find out who Tommy Trinder
was....I thought it may have been one of the 'Thumb' brothers.....that
little guy. You must be older than I thought, Shane.
Heirloom, old and should have stuck with Jiminy

Blimey!

I'm as old as Tommy Trinder multiplied by the square root of Stanley
Holloway, you young whippersnapper! And I sound like Walter Brennan (the
dead one).

Do you have 'Blighters' out there in Texaco?

I reckon we do........a Google search on that one reveals that they could be
Gremlins, ghosts, pixies, squirrels, foxes, an especially annoying man or
child (why can't there be women blighters?), or they could be air-sickness
bags, amongst a myriad of other things. So, I figure out of all the
choices, we must have, at least, a few running around.
Heirloom, old and dislike 'blight light'

In that case, I saw three blighters in the wee hours when I took a walk to
the 24 hr petrol station! Urban Blighters, I believe they're commonly
referred to as. Though personally I think they cheer the place up a bit!
