Memory is ram--you are asking about hard drive space. Right click your C:
drive, properties and see what file system is listed. If it says Fat, you
have a fat 16 partition which is limited to 2 gb.

Your hard disk looks like it is incorrectly formatted. You can check by =
running chkdsk from an MS-Dos prompt.=20

How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition or =
Repartition a Hard Disk
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=3Dkb;en-us;255867&Product=3D=
w98

In Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, and Windows Me, if you run the Fdisk =
tool on a hard disk that is over 512 megabytes (MB) in size, Fdisk =
prompts you whether or not to enable large disk support. If you answer =
"Yes" (enabling large disk support), any partition you create that is =
larger than 512 MB is marked as a FAT32 partition.=20

Description of the FAT32 File System
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=3Dkb;EN-US;154997

The problem you now have is that reformatting the drive will result in =
losing all data on the hard drive so you must backup all data to CD or =
floppy before you try. Otherwise to avoid loss of contents you need a =
third party tool.=20

Buy Partition Magic:
http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/

or Bootit NG, www.bootitng.com -- 30-days fully functional shareware.=20

With an 80 gb hard drive you should think about partitioning the hard =
drive. Avoid creating partitions over 32,767 mb. The size of the =
partition fixes the cluster size and the larger the cluster size the =
greater the wastage of disk space.

For more about partitioning read these links:
