Yesterday, I posted here about my mouse not working. Last
night I turned on the PC and the mouse was working fine
all night. When I first turned it on today it was not
working after several reboots I got it working again.

If it were the mouse itself, wouldn't it work
intermittently while in use?

Also, in Device Manager there is no mouse listed at all!
Why would the mouse be working at all with nothing listed
in Device Manager and how do I get this back?

Boot to safe mode by holding down the Ctrl key after the memory count.
Control panel, system, device manager, double click mouse (if it is there).
Remove all mouse entries and reboot. If the system detects the mouse and
adds it, maybe all will be well. If it is not detected:

Control panel, add new hardware. When given the option, pick: No, I want
to select....
Select mouse and when given the chance, select the Have Disk button. Follow
the on screen prompts.

Hopefully this will square things away.
