I have just installed a CDR as master on the secondary IDE channel.

It seems to be OK according to both the BIOS and the system manager and
plays Cds ok ~ I haven't tried writeing yet but all the diagnostics seem
fine. The problem is that when I reboot the system it 'hangs' for about a
minute with the message "WAITING FOR DISK 83..."

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be ?

regards

John

In BIOS setup, make sure any unused IDE devices (such as slave on the
secondary channel) are set to 'NONE'.
