Win 98 2nd edition. Computer freezez severa times a
week. Cannot shut down with Start Menu nor with the
computer ON/OFF button. Ctrl-Alt-Delete ineffective
also. Only way to shut down is by switching off the power
source to the computer. Sometimes when restarting the DOS
cursor (blinking dash)is all that shows up on the screen.
Have to switch off computer power source and restart.
Eventually get correct start with normal desk top. Have
used Scan disk including checking disk surface for damage
with folder errors corrected and no damage to disk.
Deleted Temporary Internet Files as a shot in the dark. No
help.
