I guess I spoke too soon by saying that D.I. copied my win98 perfectly, until I
tried to use my printer. I get a message that specified path is invalid. I
thought D.I. was image perfect?

I presume you are referring to a restore of an image, that is now not working quite
right.

Did you verify the image when you made it? Did you read the manual?

Yes my printer doesn't work..it keeps looking for a path. No, I do not have a
manual, lost it in a moving process...plus this is the 1.0 version. Could you
'clue' me how this verify works? Thanks

I have no idea what version 1.0 of Drive Image is like. I have version 4.0 here.
During the image-making process, there is an 'Advanced' button you can use in one of
the screens, to open a dialog of what you can configure. One item is to verify
writes. Also, version 4.0 also has a Windows app called Drive Image File Editor,
which is similar to Windows Explorer, for viewing and extracting files from an
image. It also has an option to "verify" the image selected.

If you restored a partition image to your hard drive and it works, chances are that
your printer problem does not lie with the restored image, but rather with some
misconfiguration that occurred after the restore. What is the exact error message
you receive, re: looking for a path? You may want to try uninstalling/removing the
printer in question, and then reinstall it from the CD that came with the printer.
