I have seem to lost my windows 98 product key numbers.
Is there any way I can get these numbers. Or is there a
way that I can get general numbers that work on all the
discs????????

Hi Frank,

Assuming this is a ligament copy of Windows have the Win98 CD
in hand, and call Microsoft at 1-800-642-7676 and ask for a
replacement key. Otherwise it can still be found for sale at eBay and
the like.

Whoops, that should have been legitimate.

It's a funny you mention strings, I have the Godfather II
on TV tonight. Scary...

Assuming this is a legitimate copy of Windows, have the Win98 CD
in hand and call Microsoft at 1-800-642-7676 and ask for a
replacement key. Otherwise it can still be found for sale at eBay
and the like.

Launch Regedit
Now click down this list:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENT VERSION
Highlight CURRENT VERSION and you will see the Product Code in the right
window pane.
