I have a primary 10 gig drive with no letter assigned.
I have a secondary 2.5 partitioned drive with C: and D:
letters assigned. I fdisked the 10 gig and now I want to
create a primary dos partition on the 10 gig and assign
drive C to it. The computer hangs up after I select the
fixed disk at "verifying drive integrity, 0%" and won't
let me create a partition so that I can format it. I also
tried "fdisk /actok" with no luck. Any suggestions?

Temporarily disconnect the other hard drive (and change the jumper on
the 10 gb drive if necessary) and then try using FDISK again.

Some drive combinations can be problematic when connected as master
and slave, especially when the two drives are of different makes and
also different vintages.

Good luck
