I want to change the keyboard layout on my laptop to
German. When i try to do this i am asked to insert windows
98 cd disk. My lap top was purchased second hand and I do
not have a windows 98 cd disk. How can i resolve this?

start find files or folders named "*.cab"

if you find a folder with a lot of almost consecutively named files, eg driver
5, driver6 driver7 .cab s then use the browse function on the installer to
point to this folder when you install, else you may have to buy a cd from
ebay. If you buy a cd dont use it to reinstall to the laptop, laptop hardware
is often very particualr about drivers and they are not present on generic
windows CDs
