Regarding Ron Badour's question if I had Second Edition
installed. Yes I do. But the CD-Rom Disk I installed
Windows 98 with was not Second Edition. So now I don't
know what to do. I am having problems opening web pages.
For example, when I try to order pet food online, when I
get to the page that says Checkout to finish my order I
get the "Cannot display this page" or "Error" and so
on....I have tried everything and now what I want to do is
uninstall all my programs including AOL and Windows 98 and
try to start from scratch. Is this a good idea or not?
Like I said before I am not very computer experienced.
Can this problem be fixed? Thanks for any help!!!

There is no patch to change W98 to W98SE so someone must have upgraded your
system. There is no uninstalling W98 unless you upgraded from W95 and saved
those files. What you do is back up any needed files and then format the
partition. For information on installing W98, go to:
http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html Note: if you in fact
have a W98 disk, you had better make sure your various programs will work
with it as many newer programs require W98SE as a minimum operating system.
