I have a Win98SE PC, fitted with 2 hardrives (1 x Primary
Master, 1 x Primary Slave) and a CD-Rom on Secondary
Prinary. This config has been working fine, until suddenly
the D: is not accesable in Windows. Device Manager shows a
yellow "!" on the IDE Controller, and it only shows one
hard drive, Also, everytime the pc is booted, scandisk
runs on D: and strangly, if I dissable scandisk, the D:
reappears and works perfectly, with now problems shown
under Device Manager.

Any suggestions - for the time being I've dissabled
scandisk from running, but I'm don't like doing this as
there must be a reason for it?

Hi Simon try disconnecting the drive and rebooting, then shutdown reconnect
the drive and rebooot. This might solve your problem.
