Try this web site for your cpu. Start with the
Celeron 2.8 then do a search for the 1.7, 1.8 or
what ever your Mth Brd can handle.
http://www.pricewatch.com/

2)and I had a 1.7ghz Celeron, now at 100$ I can get
either a used 1.6
Pentium or another 1.7 Celeron How should I spend my
money?

Hey Gary,
I buy new RAM almost exclusively from Crucial, but for older machines with 72-pin
SIMMs, I have had very good luck with RAM from Computer Surplus Outlet in Nevada.
http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/showproduct.asp?c=6

I scarf it up when they have a sale or a "free shipping weekend"....you may live
close enough to take a trek to their outlet store, outside Vegas.

Example: 16MB EDO 72pin SIMM - $2.49

Good lead! No, I live an hour and a half north of Reno, so LV isn't a
daytrip, but I'll definitely look them up. I've got a couple of PCChips P55
boards I want to max out.
