You will find more help in the - microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion -
group. I'm cross posting this over there. Please pick-up/use that news
group/help group.

Any who answer, please kill the cross post to the performance group.

Becky, you could try going into msconfig and seeing if the settings are
correct. Please let us know some more details about how you got stuck in
safe mode and if perhaps anything you did started the problem from going to
regular mode to safe mode. For example, did you try to change any software
or perhaps upgrade some hardware in the computer or even change some settings
within Windows 98 and are we talking about the original 98 or 98 Second
Edition.

Just a thought! - It might be helpful to confirm that Becky really is 'stuck
in safe mode'. I.E., Does it say "safe mode" in each corner of the screen?

Perhaps it is a screen colour/resolution issue (accidental mis-setting in
Display Settings - Properties or even the Display Adapter drivers damaged)
making the screen default to the default 640 x 480 vga low colour resolution
normally associated with Safe Mode.

The poster is mou not Becky...

What are you relying upon to show your in Safe Mode?
Is it the Safe Mode overlays that are showing, or is it just terrible
resolution?

Okay, now kill the crosspost if - mou - shows up here in "
microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion "...
