Can anyone tell me where I can download the fix that is
described in the following KB Article?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;293793

I know the article says to contact Microsoft, but I really
don't want to be charged $35. Any tips or pointers you
can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have the *exact* problem described in the article, which means
that the error message you get agrees with the one contained in the
article for your version of Windows in every detail including the
memory address locations then you can contact Microsoft and tell them
that you need the specific patch as per KBG article 293793.

You will be asked about the error message you are getting and if it is
not 100% in accordance with the KB article then you will be charged
for the support call. Also if you digress from this specific
download into other support matters the call will be considered
chargeable.

But if everything is in compliance with the KB article then they
should give you access to the patch and you should not be charged.

Good luck
