On second thought, I see you did give a procedure below, so maybe I should
try it sometime (assuming I can still find a good 3.1 app that's worth
playing with).

But Windows 3.1 is "simply another DOS application", per se????? (Call me
skeptical).

Which I can vouch as true as I have been using windows since the 286
version. (2.11)

I could even run win 3.1 in an OS/2 VDM (Virtual Dos Machine) alongside
a win-os/2 session on OS/2.
