does anyone know what winoldap is

hello

lately when i hit ctrl-alt-delete and the programs running
in the background box appears i notice something that reads
winoldap i tried to find it using a find file but nothing
can sombody tell me what it is?

Here is some info on "WinOldAp".....

I can shed a little light on Winoldap. It existed in Win3.x as
Winoldap.mod and it Win9x it exists as this file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINOA386.MOD enhanced mode winoldap and is the
module used to run MS-DOS-based applications, otherwise known as "old
applications")

Winoldap is a support file for running MS-DOS based applications under
Windows. Normally it should be loaded while the program is running
and then unloaded when the program is finished.

From Jeff Richards MVP

It is required to support display requirements for certain 16-bit
applications, including a DOS session. It is started automatically
when an application that requires it is loaded. It can prevent some
installation procedures from running, so there are circumstances when
you need to shut it down.
