Windows 98

In starting setup Wins 98 it goes along good until 9
minutes remains and the compter locks. The welcome screen
comes on, hangs and the mouse,keyboard and the computer
on/off doesn't work. To shut down, pull plug. Re-r
installed 3 times. Checked for virus. neg.No erros.
Use to work. Re-formatted drive. System is 4 yrs old.

Do you have the anti virus setting, if any, in the BIOS disabled? Instead
of pulling the plug, hold in the off button until the PC shuts down. After
the drives spin down, start it back up and see if it will resume
installation.
