Dear Groups,

I am assisting a friend running WindowsME, and the "My Network Places"
icon & shortcut has either been removed, hidden or never installed.

Any assistance to return this feature to a working and accessible
condition would be appreciated.

If TweakUI is installed, Control Panel | TweakUI | Desktop and ensure that
My Network Places is checked in the "Special desktop items" list.

Mike,

Thanks, I shall try "TweakUI" as soon as I get the chance - perhaps I
should also say the "My Network Places" is missing from Windows Explorer
and Control Panel as well.

Removing My Network Places from the desktop will also remove it from
Windows Explorer however it should still be available (as Network) in
Control Panel. Restoring Network Places to the desktop should also
restore it to Windows Explorer.
