Cannot hear audio - although A/V files play video. cannot
open certain jpeg files, get msg "Viewer caused a general
protection fault in qtjpeg.qtc" etc.etc.
Sometimes I get the msg in the picture viewer box that
says "Could not draw this picture. It may not be
recognised by Quick Time or you could be low on memory."
(I have 128MB RAM).
I uninstalled Quick Time using "Add/Remove Programs" but
left the files that the uninstall said to keep.

Everything worked fine until I downloaded the latest
Quicktime. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Pat,

Try to reinstall QuickTime and then uninstall it, removing all files.
Download and install IrfanView. Select the image types you would
like to view with InfanView. Or after installed, go to Options -
Properties - Extensions tab and select the image types there.
It's a great little image viewer and much more. And the best part,
it's FREE. http://www.irfanview.com/
This should take care of viewing image files.

Uninstall it removing all files.
Restart your computer, then try to re-install it.
