Hello,

Whenever I try to run Explorer, Outlook Express, Word
2000, or Windows Media player I get an error message that
says:
"An error has occurred in your program" and it gives me
the option of "close" or "ignore". Ignore does not do
anything so I close it. Another box comes up saying the
program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down. It gives the option of viewing details and
they say the program has caused a general protection
fault in the module GDI.EXE (for all 4 programs). Can
anyone give me some direction? I searched both the news
groups and the technical archives but could not find
anything.

Thanks in advance,
Doug Evans

Start |Run | type msinfo32 |press ok
Tools |Internet Explorer Repair Tool
