Error message everytime i install program

Hello

Lately everytime i try to install a program i am getting
this message
unhandled exception
incompatible version 0x80070725

i will click the install or setup icon for whatever program
i am trying to install and this is the message that will
come up. i never had this problem before. i am worried
because i no longer have the win 98 se disc in case i need
it. That is the version i am running win 98 se if anyone
knows what this is please help

The only reason I know of why this happens is because the
software you are trying to install doesn't support
Windows 98SE any more.
