View Full Version : Trying to install program and messege keeps appearing

Hello

i have been trying to install adobe reader and some other
programs. in the past i have had no problem, but know after
i click the setup or install icon a messege will appear
that reads. "Incompatible version 0x80070725 of the rpc stub
the title of the box will be unhandled exception. the
programs say they will work with win 98 se which is what i
have if anyone can help please reply to

I don't do email support and you really should not ask for it. When a
response is posted in the newsgroup, a lot of people are going to review it
and make sure that the answer is correct or at least that it will not do any
harm to your PC. When you get an email, no one can review it to ensure it
has good information. Finally, when you use a valid email address in a
public newsgroup, chances are you are going to get tons of spam and emails
with a virus attached.

While this article is not written about W98, people have found that the fix
works on W98 so give it a shot: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321915
