Is there an easier way to shut down running programs in
the background when attempting a defrag or scan disk?

Currently, with Windows 98, I have to do the CTRL>ALT>DEL
thing and separately end each task.

Thanks!

Hi Bill,
Try using GEODisk. It was written by MS-MVP George Gedye, and it will
automate the task for you, and it's FREE.

Hi Bill reply to me and I'll send you a bit of freeware that's been taken
out of circulation that will do the job for you.
