Take Volume Icon off tray

When I messed around with my bass boost option, my
computer put the volume icon (a yellow speaker) on my menu
toolbar at the very bottom next to my clock. I don't need
this there, and was wondering how I could get it off.

Control Panel-Multimedia and uncheck "Show volume control on the
taskbar"
