I installed the two security patches for the warning
issued by MS and it really corrupted something within my
laptops. I'm using Win 98 on two 233 Pentium I toshiba
laptops, and Win 98 is current. I did the usual - reboot,
check the control panel for exclamation points, messed up
IRQ, etc. And all are good. Ran audio into mic input and
got good audio from speakers, so card is working. Error
messages range from "unsupported wave from audio format"
to "format not recognized, install audio compression".
Checked audio compression program, took it out,
reinstalled and all to no avail. This all after running
the two patches. Norton's 2004 says the machine is clean,
so I give up. If anyone doesn't have an idea about
fixing, how about uninstalling the patches??? Thanks in
advance!!!
