I am trying to install a wireless network adapter in my windows 98 computer.
It appears that some files are needed from the windows 98 cd. My computer
came with windows installed and no cd. It did come with a restore cd but that
appearently does not have the required files on it.
Is there any way to install the adapter without the cd

Search the hard disk for files named "win*.cab". If they're found,
point to their folder when Windows 98 asks for the CD. If they're not
founds, tell it to look in C:\Windows\System.

In my experience, very few wireless network adapters work with Windows
98. What model do you have?
