windows media player 7.1

I have 2 pc's w/w98 same exact setup. I had to reload 1
because of HD problems. Since then I cannot get win/Media
7.1 to function. Same codecs same drivers. Keep getting
errors. Main error is:
EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module WMVCORE.DLL. Tried repacing all DLL's rechecked
codects no help. NEED HELP!
