Hi!
I don't have any sound in my computer right now. So
where do i go to have it back in? I cannot hear the voice
in chat rooms now and cannot hear my music when i put a cd
in here. Please help me.

Don't know if your sound card and driver are in order? Have you done any
major changes in the system lately? More in my field of province is the
following:

Control panel>multimedia> check that the Audio tab have the proper preferred
devices that you use, and the CD tab recognized as the proper CD player
drive. Check that the show Volume control is in the "taskbar" (Systray -
system tray is its actual location) in the Audio tab as well> then check
that there are no volume controls which have become *muted*. If the mute is
checked, then un-check it.

Also, Control panel> Add/Remove programs> Windows Setup tab>scroll down to
Multimedia>see if that is checked.> if checked>click details>check if CD
player is checked> if not, check it>OK>OK out. For the Chat stuff I don't
know much. Maybe the same Windows setup tab>communications>details>scroll
down to MS chat 2.5> see if that's checked (not really sure about that, as I
don't use chat)> check it if its not (again, maybe)> OK>OK out. If that
fixes it good. If those items were already checked, it has often been
recommended to un-check them> OK>OK out. Re-boot if necessary. Then go back
to Control panel> Add/Remove programs> Windows Setup tab> and re-check the
items you just un-checked>OK>OK out. Re-boot again if necessary. You *May*
need your Windows install Disk to re-establish the program features you've
disabled and wish to re-enable. (I never have needed it for such actions as
I've just described, but it *may* ask for it)
