View Full Version : MIDI won't make sound, though WAV's & MP3's do.

Hi!

I'm running a recently-purchased, recently-installed copy of W98SE, upgraded
via the MS website with all "critical updates" that were available. I've
found that MIDI files won't make any sound happen, on my machine. WAV's,
MP3's, & MPG's all work fine. I have 512 MB RAM, oodles of HD space, a 1.5
GHz P4 processor, and a M-Audio Delta 410 soundcard. Soundcard driver was
updated 2 days ago via the M-Audio website's stockpile of drivers. No GW
synth shows up on my system, and MIDI mapper doesn't show up either. Use of
MIDI files is an essential for me, for the sake of music composition, so
this situation needs fixing.

Thanks in advance, for any help solving this problem.
