Good afternoon.
Can somebody please help me. I have an Epson Stylus C46 printer installed on
my IBM laptop currently running with WinME. This weekend when I tried to
print something via usual USB port connection I got a blue screen saying: -
"An error has occured Error 0E:0028:C002BD0E Press any key to continue or
press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart your computer".
If I press any key to continue my laptop hangs and if I reboot instead it
does not shut down properly. I do manage to get my laptop back up and running
again, but when I try to uninstall the printer with the aim of reinstalling
it again to correct this error, I actually get the same error message!!
I have searched the Microsoft website for hints on this error code, but
cannot find any. Can somebody tell me what I need to do step by step to
correct this error as I am a bit of a novice I'm afraid!! Many thanks and
regards, Steve B.

Such errors are usually caused by driver conflicts - often the Video
drivers....
try this:-
Reboot to Safe Mode
Open Device Manager
Remove ALL Display Adapters
Remove ALL Monitors
Reboot to Normal Mode - Windows will reinstall the required drivers -
hopefully curing your problem.

Many thanks for that. I shall try it when I get home tonight (at work at the
moment). Can you tell me how to boot up my computer to run in Safe Mode when
I switch it on?
