I'm reading comments from users elsewhere that "FoxIt" is reaching
bloat levels like Acrobat Reader.

How - it's only a 2MB install - which doesn't even create a Program Files
folder!

In the end it didn't help my resources issue either, instead it aggrevated
the situation, Silj, but I am going to experiment,
until I get it right.
For the time being I like the way Foxit works and will tolerate it, for a
while at least.
Thanks for the pointer.

Harry.

Perhaps - just passing along comments I've read elsewhere :)

Comments which would appear to be both incorrect and ill informed.

Realizing this - it is OP option to use either or, depending on HD space
and flavour of app as well.

The trick here is to ensure a complete uninstall of Adobe stuff (I was going
to say cr&p - but that'd be going too far, and is reserved for the likes of
Norton) - once that's done, I haven't yet met a PDF file that Foxit can't
render properly (although not necessarily with teh bells and whistles
available in Adobe)

Agreed which is why I used the words "consider using Foxit" rather than
say the more forceful uninstall Acrobat and use Foxit, leaving it for
Harry to decide which avenue to pursue.

I've been considering it, just haven't got round to downloading and
installing yet <g> The main use for PDF files I have is getting my phone
bill each month and some of my cross stitch pattern downloads are in PDF
format.
Will have to investigate when I have the time <g>

Mike, you tricky one <g>, had no idea that the word 'consider' had such far
reaching consequences, but those are the 'powers to be'.
Now I can say "I'm informed".
Thanks.

Harry.
