How get autorun to work with CD's

How do I get autorun to work when I insert a CD.
Windows ME on a laptop.

Two possible stages to confirm:-

In Device Manager, in your CD-ROM's Properties, confirm that 'auto insert
notification' is enabled.

If installed, in TweakUI / Paranoia - "Things that happen behind your back",
ensure that "Play data CD's automatically" is enabled (and audio CD's, if
required)

BTW - not all CD's are necessarily configured to autorun
