The one I was referring to is the full size version of what I sent Laura to
update the gallery with, Heather! I told her I had a stinking cold, but
she's put it up nonetheless. I guess either it's obviously more current - or
she needs glasses too! :-)

Jeez it's hard to play the ugly ******* when you're as good-looking as me
(when I don't have a cold!)

Now I have to get round to taking one that doesn't look like I've come down
with a dose of death-warmed-over. Unfortunately I have *another* cold now!

Hey.....that is better than the last one!! You look rather dashing!!
In the other one, you looked like a *cropduster*. Do I have to explain
that one? (G) And take 4,000 mgs of Vitamin C every day (2M in the
morning, etc) for that recurring cold.

*Cropduster*, Heather?
He'd probably be better off keeping his cold.
On the other hand I was told, if you *lived right*, you wouldn't even catch
a cold. Could that be true?
That Vit 'C' prescription is mighty *professional*, I'd say,
except not in the US, if you are on Medicare.
Why am I getting the *hickups*?
You think I'm coming down with something?

Harry.

What, 2 MegaBytes? Actually it seems like half the folks in town have got
it. My mum's bro and sis just down the road had it a week ago (and he was in
bed with it today). But they both just before took a train to Carlisle -
though that's not anything like as infectious as an air-liner, of course,
but then she'd just got back from a cruise to Mexico (and usually seems to
work flights in somewhere on these cruises. The bleedin' car went on
Concorde!). My neighbour spent a couple of weeks in Israel over Christmas.
And I go back and forth between the local hospital and clinic and they're
*full* of sick people! I mean, why try, eh? Might as well just invite the
Grim Reaper in!

And yes, you probably do!

Incidentally, I do like my citrics, but grapefruit is on the forbidden list.
I must remember to give my neighbour my Tropicana Ruby Breakfast before the
Use By date arrives. You like that stuff? Ruby Red Grapefruit and Blood
Orange juice, yum yum yum.

Kontagious Kissies,

Shane

Well, you could try it (Vit. C) coz we swear by it. We both get the flu
shot every year and no colds EVER!! There is also echinacea for the
immune system. But I don't go to doctors' offices which are full of
grungy sick people either, lol. During SARS (G*d forbid), our doctor
prescribed over the phone and we met him in private rooms at the
hospital when we had to.

The worst place to get a cold is cooped up on an airplane. I can just
feel the germs crawling over me.....shudder. Think I will do a *Michael
Jackson* and wear a surgical mask the next time I fly.

Ron drinks nothing but Tropicana Ruby Red Grapefruit.....send it over.
I have been buying the biggest ruby grapefruits for a couple of weeks
now.....delicious!!

Killer Kissies for your Kold!! (G)

He looks like a WW2 pilot actually.....scarf around his neck and all.

How come you can't buy Vitamin C in the US? It is an over the counter
pill. Pardon my being blunt, but your healthcare system stinks!! Time
for a march on Washington and make that Yahoo President sort it out. (I
came up here the moment he came on TV....blech!!)

We have been taking 500mg/day of Vit. C for about 30+ years. Plus other
megavitamins. (E, B, Calcium, etc) And we rarely get sick.

Hiccups......home remedy by Ron. Swallow a spoonful of white sugar and
they will be gone. I think it's nuts, but he swears by it.

Cheers.....Dr. Figgs

Oh, we can buy or take Vit 'C' allright, Figgs, but Medicare doesn't
recommend nor pay for it, neither do the medical doctors. Anything "Natural"
can be subscribed to, but at your own expense. The medical establishment is
fed, backed and ruled by the drug companies and that includes our current
president.
And those "hickups"? Just kidding, they were imagined.
But should I really come down with something, I will consult you, Doctor
Figgs, I like your prescriptions.
Cheers (my kissies are reserved!)

Harry.

No he's not as far as I know, but it is to do with his medication for

Joan,

Yes. My father is on warfarin for <something like> his blood pressure.
Whereas I had the pulmonary embollism, and for me it's to dissipate the DVT
and prevent another forming, he has a leaky heart valve and I can only
imagine the point of putting him on the stuff is to manage the pressure. Of
course, I far from know it all!

On warfarin, Cranberry is also out, while garlic is suspect along with the
likes of Spinach. Basically you should stick to an established diet, which
is, I suppose, what you were eating when they determined the correct dose
for you. I've had spinach for years, usually with those pre-pack Spinach,
Watercress and Rocket salads all the supermarkets do now. But after the
accident I didn't bother - the preparation of that kind of meal was too much
bother. Now I can eg just about slice bread and peel potatoes, but in the
end decided it's easier just to quit spinach until I'm over this, as you
have to adjust the dose to compensate and then stick to more-or-less the
same intake. It'd be like taking Spinach as a drug!
