I recently setup a three computer wireless network. The
first two computers are operating with Windows XP
Professional and the third computer is operating with
Windows 98SE. All computers have been properly connected
to my DSL Wireless Gateway and all computers can conect to
the Internet. I have setup file and printer sharing on
the first two computers and they are now sharing folders,
drives, and printers. I had to use the NWLink
IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol to allow
them to comunicate. While trying to add the third and
final computer to the network, I cannot find this Protocol
within WIN 98SE? How do I add the NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS
Compatible Transport Protocol to the Win 98SE Operating
System/Computer? Thanks!

Win 98SE doesn't include "NWLink" in the name. To install it, go to
Control Panel | Network and click Add | Protocol | Add | Microsoft |
IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol.

It's OK to use IPX/SPX for file and printer sharing on your network,
but it isn't necessary. TCP/IP, by itself, is sufficient for Internet
access and for file and printer sharing. If TCP/IP doesn't work, the
problem is probably that a firewall program is blocking access.

If you keep IPX/SPX, un-bind sharing from TCP/IP. I've written a web
