To install DCC on Windows 98, go to Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs | Windows Setup | Communications.

>Thank you Steve. I located the DCC program however I
can't get it to work. I have connected a null cable to
both 'puters but the dialouge shows that the Guest (98) is
ready to connect but I can't get to the host (98SE)'puter.
I have one'puter running Windows 98 and the other running
Windows 98SE. I have both 'puters turned on but I only
have one monitor and one mouse. Does this matter? By the
way I have also tried using a Lynksys router but that
woudn't work either that's why I'm trying this method. My
98 'puter doesn't connect to the Internet throught the
router. I've had this hook up before with my 98SE 'puter
and different one and it worked ok then. Hope you can help
me again.

Robert.

You're welcome, Robert. This web page should help you get DCC
working:

DirectParallelŽ and Direct Cable Connection (DCC) Step-by-Step SETUP
http://www.lpt.com/Support/DCC-SetUp/dcc-setup.htm

In my experience, DCC can be difficult to set up and use. It should
be much easier to make an Ethernet connection through your Linksys
router.
