I have a client that uses Windows 98 Desktops and Windows
2000 servers. I want to know how to disable the Windows
password. I know you can delete the .pwl file and then
just not put a password in, but is there a way to
automatically disable this so that it doesn't even ask if
they want a windows networking password?

Thanks

Tony

I was wondering if anyone ever told you how to do this. I
recently reinstalled my win 98 and now it keeps asking me
on startup for a network password for microsoft networking
and I have no clue what it is. I would like to be able to
get rid of that so my computer starts up normally. please
Help!!

If you just want to get rid of the password, do a search
for *.pwl and delete the one that has your username in
it. then when the screen comes up again, just do not
enter a password, and it should not bother you again.
