After installing a desktop network pci card for dsl on my
computer, when I turn on the computer and before the icons
on my desktop load, I am getting a gray box with a circle
with an red X in it and the wording on the top Windows
networking and in the gray box is this message --

Unable to load the dynamic link library:
msnp32.dll
The system cannot find the file specified.
Some or all of the following feature is not available:
Microsoft network

I need help in finding this file and where to download if
from if that is necessay. I cannot continue loading my
desktop until I click ok on the botton of that gray
box.Thank you so much.

Greetings Betty,

If your computer starts up with a msnp32.dll missing error you may notice
that your network neighbourhood or Network places icon has gone. To get
past this problem uninstall the client for Microsoft Neworks and then
restart the machine.

Next go back to the Neetwork settings in control panel and click add and
reinstall the Client for Microsoft Networks again. It should then prompt for
your Windows disk and then it should restart.

After starting up again the problem should be fixed.
