I have a new customer who is an a SBS 2003 small business server.

A user is trying to print from a XP Home to a Windows ME machine.
Printer is HP 970. User gets no error machine. They can't print a test
page on the XP machine. Network shares to this machine do work.

Any suggstions to get this fixed would be appreciated.

thanks

SBS works in a domain environment. Windows XP Home cannot join a domain.

I realize that XP Home won't connect to a domain controller but how
does that effect a direct \\ipaddress of the printer connection?

Can other PCs print to the same printer?

The solution was very simple.

Once the machines had a same workgroup, I was abale to get the machine
to print properly.
