View Full Version : Windows/TCPIP/NetWare Major Issue

Having just installed SBS 2003, I found out that one of my
client workstations wasn't talking to the internet, or
(more importantly) the new intranet. It was talking to
the old NetWare 5.x server just fine, and I can't remember
if it was talking across the network to the SBS2003 box.

I knew it was a TCI/IP issue, as I couldn't ping it,
couldn't ping the local host, and couldn't run WINIPCFG.

I upgraded the NetWare client software to no avail. I
tried to tweak the settings in Network Properties, and
somehow managed to make it now talk to the SBS 2003 box
but not even realize that the NetWare box is out there. I
get a folder in Network Neighborhood that says Novell
Servers, trying to open it crashes the window. I can't
log on to the Netware server. I made sure that all of the
protocols and such that all the other 98 boxes that still
need to talk to both have. No dice. I've tried everything
I can think of short of reformatting the machine (at this
point a very tempting prospect ;) )

The kicker -- the workstation is mostly used to access our
accounting system, which ONLY exsists on the Novell
server.

HELP!
