I have purchased an NEC USB UF000x from Dell for my old laptop to replace my
parallel floppy drive that is not working. I had W95 running on it and was
told to upgrade to W98se so that the USB would be properly recognized.

I upgrqaded to W98se, but the system is still requesting that a driver be
installed for the new hardware - this is a USB floppy and supposedly there
should be no driver required - and of course, I can't find one on the W98
disk or on MS or Dell websites. So....the usb floppy drive is not recognized.

I also have an older Dell Dimension R400 that was running W95 - I upgraded
this machine to W98se and tried the USB floppy plug in........same problem -
looking for a driver.

Please anyone help?????

Help!!!!!
